Encoding mp3s?

I've been using Wavelab to export wav files as mp3s, so I can put recordings of my band onto myspace.

Unfortunately they sound like shit (digital distortion, urgh!). The original recordings are good quality, so thats not the problem. I know mp3s are shit anyway, and the myspace player probably only makes things worse, but I'm sure I can get them sounding better...

Any advice?

Been using it for years... it's a great piece of software.

Haven't used Wavelab in years, but it always felt really odd.

Yeah I find wavelab and Cubase to be quite counter-intuitive to use. Steinberg have made some great software but they need to work on their accessibility for the tech-tards amongst us...

CdX is a handy piece of kit like, cheers for that
