Anyone know much about UK MC YT? (Too many capitals in that sentence). Has anyone heard his album "Straight Outta Britain"? Think it came out in 2006. Thinking of picking it up, and wanted to share the love...
I'm going to get it solely on the strength of his "England Story", the title track on the new Soul Jazz comp compiled by Heatwave (I think Gabriel from Heatwave post on here? - big up! The comp is wicked). it's an awesome track, a mini history of UK reggae sound systems, namechecking all the greats. I'm a sucker for stuff like this, UK music which references half -remembered fragments of my growing up. (Too young - and too white - to go to Saxon dances, but I do remember the Saxon Live lp which circulated amongst all my mates.)
My half an hour pissing around on the net has unearthed the following:
Homepage for the album: http://www.straightouttabritain.com/
Myspace for the label, Sativa: http://www.myspace.com/sativarecordsuk
His biggest track beyond "England Story" seems to have been the "Wicked Act" on the Sativa page which is a response to the 7/7 bombings. It's on the Myspace.

Any fans? Any thoughts?
