tonight (Friday)

Hat on the Wall, Hatton Wall, Clerkenwell (nr tube: Farringdon)

9.00pm-2.00am

Free to get in

Usual mixture of music (plenty of grimey garage from me / a big range of stuff from others)

Quite a laid back non-pretentious place (though sound system suffers as the volume is cranked up later on)

Come down ....and say hello (I have a distinctive *non-dyed(!)* white streak)

It happens every month or so – so will try and keep you posted (with perhaps more notice).

Like Jose Mourinho I want a motivated and skilful bunch of djs to use in a rotational system…this keeps the music fresh….so would welcome hearing anybody who’d like to dj as part of our crack unit over the coming year (all done for love, no money). Just be clear that this should no-way be seen as “tapping up” djs.

Yeah thanks for the interest (in coming/or djing) will keep you posted about future dates. The night was good though was slightly spoilt by drunken geezah and the fact that the venue has NO security. To get rid of him we had to stop and pretend it was all over (while telling everyone else that it would start again if they waited around for a bit) and though this sounds like throwing the proverbial baby out with the bathwater, it did kind of work and was in-keeping with the ‘house-party vibe’ of the place…though they won’t survive for much longer on this approach

Logan, I’m thinking you might be wasted on a eclectic (sleep-with-any-kinda-music slaag!) night like this, but I would be interested in sticking some time and effort into promoting a more specialist grime night in central or east London – particular if there are other takers who want to get involved….I have a couple of venues in mind. Just a thought – email me if interested.
