Didn't get there till around 1:30 AM , so prolly missed performances
Having went first to hear ol' friend Gudrun Gut (from Malaria and Monika label owner) and her mate Thomas Felmann (Palais S /Orb) rock a packed Tonic club with Ellen Allien , Monika and his own tracks on Apple laptop) -
but there was still a small crowd of maybe 30 -40 on the floor and the music still rockin ,
compelling me to come on in .
Admission was free by then , so i popped in and took a listen .
First track i heard , MC's spittin' 'Scratch ... , Scratch .... , Scratch ...' I thot t'was,
then into a barrage of synthetic tracks
doesn't take long for the MC's to meld into layer rolling on top ,
but i'm diggin' the crazy synth action , stunted melodies , some tracks familiar from dl .
About halfway into the Rothko space , a woman to my left has her head bowed down
looks like she's out for the night.
The tracks play on , distorted bass freq's uh huh - ok - here we go .
Suddenly the woman takes her bar stool with her as she falls over head first right down onto the floor.
Hard .
Oh *hit , an instant of 'huh, what was that ?'confusion then people run over to help her up ,
get her up.
Paper towel from behind the bar applied to mouth , another guy gently gets her coat, brings her outside
where the cold wind should bring her around.
Back on stage , DJ plays on , 2 other cats onstage stomping , nodding , gesturing to the crowd.
Some more people still straggling in ,
a Japanese woman begins slow dance to the beats ,
dreads coming in and out ckin' it out ...

Rock bk up Ave. A , home by 3:30
All good tonight , in my book
Thanks for the jump off

you're welcome, thanks for coming. Good to hear some people managed to get falling down drunk, always a good sign. I was sick and was keeping it mostly sober, but was definitely stomping it up on stage. Bigup to Dubquixote and Crito for holding down the basement, they were definitely doing it big down there.

Yea man, thanks. Big tunes downstairs, definitely rollin. People were getting down to the dubstep even if they didn't know what they were hearing. A great soundsystem is always a treat too. Big up!

If only I had remembered to press record on the minidisc...
