Bloc Party album out today

It's just me.
from what i've heard, it's terrible. sorry, i'm just getting tired of all these new bands that make one album that get's so much praise...and then people actually sit back, listen to some other stuff for a few months and realize that it's not that great. in this case, it's just another rock band with catchy hooks and that's IT.

i think its cool to like whatever you want obviously.

but, there should be a line drawn between what is ACTUALLY GOOD and what is just FUN TO LISTEN TOO. these are two different things.

If i was out drinking at a bad pub/club (there are no good pub/clubs in edinburgh) and i was drunk and a bloc party song came on, i might dance around or whatever. but i could not justify purchasing anything by them.

but honestly if you like them thats totally cool and your business.

I like it a lot, and I've pretty much passed on all these killers/libertines/ff/etc. bands since i listened to the strokes as a freshman. But I dig it. "Like Eating Glass" is banging.

Oh yeah and Dissensus people might like to know that Kele (the lead singer/guitarist) lists Dizzee Rascal as one of his influences.
