"Scientology and all the other cults are one-dimensional, and we live in a three-dimensional world. Cults are as dangerous as drugs. They commit the highest crime: the rape of the soul." L. Ron Hubbard Jr.

what struck me after reading this interview (if what is stated is to be believed) are the apparent similarities between the philosophy of the assassins, satanism and scientology. i can now see why burroughs held a deep interest in scientology and was at one time a practitioner of it.

The coathanger abortion "ritual" detail is pure schlock (might always be true, but in the context of a story about how your old man was a Crowleyan dope-fiend satanic motherfucker? c'mon...).

Jr learned a lot from Sr by the looks of things.

Wasn't it the love and rockets/Babalon dude (name escaping me at present) who introduced him to the OTO? Not sure he had much contact w/ Crowley himself.
