I've been wondering if Eurodance is experiencing a reinterpreted, second coming this year.
Major Lazer is toying about with the genre on their album, squeezing the frantic synth energy and demented pace out of it without succumbing to ridiculous lyrics et al.
In Sweden, rapper Promoe just enjoyed this year's no. 1 with 'Svennebanan' - a pisstake on daft lad culture using the local victims' apparent music of choice. It's a banger.
Any other observations/thoughts on this?
