Hell yes I'm scared.

And what's new is how all encompassing it is. I'm scared for society, for my family, for my friends, for people I work with, for myself. All for hundreds of different reasons but also fundamentally the same fucking reason.

The only thing that's really getting me through is that we're all still finding solace in each other and really appreciating the value of those connections. I think people are being kinder and more openly appreciative of each other right now. We've not turned on each other yet.

I think we'll come out of this fundamentally changed. But I have some hope that when we emerge from this will we come out as new, better people (without following any of that self improvement during quarantine bullshit as taken down in the article above)

Is anyone else scared of making the wrong move? I feel I should swing by the supermarket tomorrow in case they all get shut down for a couple of months. But that could be the trip where I pick up the virus.

Worried enough that I can't really enjoy music right now, so much for spending quarantine downloading tonnes of dub rarities off Soulseek.

No articles please I've had enough no offence but I've been out every day trying make a quid I can't sit at home and get paid. I can't buy in bulk. I've got no source of income. I'll scrounge off my little sister luckily she makes a decent wage but it brings home how hard it's going to be for most of us. Not everyone can sit at home and get a paycheck.

My sister is mates with the special advisor to the chancellor of the exchequer and he told her look, capitalism is on hold. Which it is. But we need to go all the way and literally press pause. No payments.

Suspend the money form. Give me my vegetables suspend my rent and I'll mostly stay indoors. But these half measures just hurt the poor. Go on a train and look who's on there with you.

The brunt of it is getting borne by the same people that always get it in the neck so don't expect solidarity from them when you talk about self isolate.

it's been a long time coming and for some it's been pretty clear that time is running out. i just don't think many expected it to be like this.

But anyway, interesting. All sorts of possibilities opening up, good and bad. The world is changing. Let's see what direction it falls. Ben Watson reckons China will fund the new Marshall Plan and shape the world in their image. Too early to say but let's keep our eyes open and not be naive.

And they're much better than red for certain things. Mind you I've got about a kilo of red so it's not the end of the world
