hey nomos, what did you use to record that Spooky set? it's a nicer-sounding recording than i'm used to hearing on Rinse rips.

cheers :) it's wiretap pro on os x. it'll record whatever audio is running on your machine. i opened the rinse stream in itunes and had wiretap record it straight to a 192 kbps mp3.

Little bit of news re: the show

The Rajar radio ratings came back this week for all the stations and the stations have been breaking down the results into figures for various shows and other things.

I received an email from one of the Kiss producers about my show.

The only 100% Grime show on legal radio is officially the top rated show in London in my time slot. Mondays between 11-1 I have a reach of 48,000 listeners in the immediate London area. Choice fm are the next closest with 31,000 and then Radio1 with 21,000. So that means I have nearly as many as Choice and Radio1 added together. Almost 50,000 people every Monday in London alone listening to Grime music. Coupled with the ridiculous rate of texts that come into the show, this has really caused quite a stir with management.

Within the station, I am now the 2nd highest ranked specialist show in the 11-1 time slot after Rodigan's Reggae.

These figures will hopefully mean that Kiss will put more faith into Grime music as a whole and we might start to hear more Grime hit the daytime playlist.

So I just want to say thank you to all the regular listeners who have locked in every week over the past 2 years, and I hope you all continue to do so. But make sure you tell a friend too!
