I'm going to be visiting Berlin again in June. I haven't been since the 90s but imagine it's changed quite a bit since then.
Any tips?

Street is surely just a name for music that enjoys (at least within the UK) a largely black/asian/working class/inner city following and which is thought to be produced by people whose origins, concerns and aspirations reflect those of that community.
So what about bands such as Motley Crue, Gund n Roses, etc? They insist that they're a Rock n Roll band but seem to take the name more as a lifestyle marker than a musical one.
I know instinctively what the difference is (The Cramps are definitely Rock n Roll whilst The Who definitely play Rock) but beyond that I find it hard to really work out what defines either. Is it as much an attitude thing as it is a purely musical one?
The Perverts guide was great fun, although it tended to work best as a vehicle for Zizek's entertaining delivery style rather than as a showcase for a number of by now very dated theories.
Reading through much of this thread, it would appear that whatever else political correctness may have achieved, it has certainly managed to turn Rock n Roll into the South Africa of musical genres.
