Really? I thought the banking section was the lightest part of the website, but perhaps that's just because it's the part I know (comparatively) most about... Maybe your friends should give us both jobs!
You'd be surprised how many trained economists don't understand (to the point of being able to explain without consulting a textbook), concepts like cost of carry, fractional-reserve, money multiplier, geometric series, M0, M1, M2, M3 and so on. Try and ask some working economists. It seems quite shocking, but my friends tell me, they don't really need to know about these things in their positions, which is believable. Probably few web-designers really understand network protocols like RIP, OSPF, know what a receive-window, exponential back-off is etc.
