Yeah I got this idea from when craner told me zhao is moving to Uganda and I thought ohh right yeah that's the next frontier it was so obvious how come I never thought of that.

There was already a sizeable "expat" community in Uganda when I was there 10 years ago. Evenly split between NGO workers and proper business people.

I got in trouble at a party for taking the piss out of public school boys and it turned out that I was the only person there who wasn't a public school boy.

It's very cheap to live there if you're on a western wage...

Yeah I get that but they will blatantly be socialising with expats rather than Ugandans, no?
