I mean Three 6 werent the only ones in Memphis using triples and really it was only Lord Infamous,T-Rock & Kingpin Skinny Pimp doing it, Gangsta Pat comes to mind as far as that hard staccato thing, Tommy Wright III too hell even Z-ro if you wanna go outside of Memphis but his flow is slightly more measured it doesnt have the clipped quality that those guys do
But i just feel like their heavily in dept to Gucci without being in his orbit in the way Flocka,Nicki and them are their more animated and prefer a more springy and lusher beds of beats compared to him but that kind of commitment? to just talking about the same topics over again but the difference being Gucci went deeper into trying to find newer stranger ways to say an old thing.
I dunno im sure like Crowley says with UK drill im probably not picking up on the "minutae" what theyre doing but i just dont hear it, i feel like you get more personality out of them than i do where i feel like theres alot of flash and they dress like dancehall artists but thats it for something so broad they come off kinda dry for me ,its why i think overtime people went from overpraising Quavo to realising that maybe hes better off doing hooks more than anything and thats fine its just nah at worst like that Game of thrones shit or the james corden clip you might aswell just have a soundboard stored with their adlibs.
If you feel like im going hard on them like i said before there are a few songs that i like from em and i like them more than Travis Scott thats for sure
