Love this beat.

And posting this just because Rugrat is too much and always has been. Don't like the American chorus, should have ditched it.

Prolly a stupid question but could someone explain me where the name "road rap" comes from? Why isn't this just UK hiphop?

I'm trying to shut up
artists who are constrained by genre names need to man up.

it's not about that though is it. the name alone doesn't hold the artists back but the name reflects a wider problem of ppl's assumptions/perceptions of the music.

it's about observers (some of whom write articles about the genre despite obviously not listening to much of it) sticking reductive labels on music they don't know much about.

old but there's something mesmerising about this interview. shot in black n white, the beat that sounds like looped Dire Straits - that hazy good life, the plush seats and obvious sexual chemistry...

honestly unsure how it got into this month's pile but mixtape by south's Squeeze Section seems better than most, more grimey & differentiated from trap flows. Feelin'.
