Golden youtube commentary

I think we need a repository for those often unfeted colossuses of youtube - the people who write in with either brilliantly witty or (more often) brilliantly subnormal comments.

i was struck by this in reference to 'Bonnie & Clyde' by gainsbourg:

"This song is freakin hot,m I love french. The most sexiest language next to spanish and german"

well, it's in the top ten, for sure - sexee!

I once found one in reference to 'Looking for Mr Goodbar' in which our protagonist went on to relay the details of a murder he had witnessed in the 1970s. Extraordinary. Will try to find it.

It's actually much, much worse than I (mis)remembered:


"I took my girlfriend to see this movie when it came out and we had not known eachother very long. Her Mother was stabbed to death unbeknowst to me. It still bothers me. I had to help her from the theater. What a damn jerk I was and am. The kiler was found though in her case. It was her 17 year old neighbor and he thought it was her, not her mother. He was part of the search team. So sad. My family did not know what the movie was about when we went. Sorry to vent."

The reply of one guy is, well:

"Yikes! Certainly not the film to take such a girl out to, given the violent ending of the movie. However, if it was the first time both of you saw the movie, you were not reprehensible."

I have no words. With the addition of malapropism I feel like laughing and crying at the same time. Hysterically.

the irony of this, of course, is that no-one could possibly make up some of the comments that appear on youtube. They come from another dimension of stupidity, where everything is made from stupid.

this kind of thing makes my brain hurt; not an all-time classic, but one i happened to read this morning.
