PC laptop recommendations

I wanna get a PC laptop with Windows 7 - any recommendations?

The cheaper the better, but would need enough power for smooth web surfing, downloading, InDesign CS4 and iTunes, etc. I've mainly used Mac in the past, so any hints or tips would be appreciated - cheers.

Well-known member
Asus & Toshiba are the most durable/reliable build, don't get an acer or HP. Look for re-furbished laptops for value.

Interesting to see the Acer-hating on this thread - I'm on my second and they've both been fine, apart from a slight keyboard glitch the first one developed, and that was only after I'd had it for ages. What don't people like about them?
