Benny, that more or less sums up the music. House, hip hop, rare groove, soul all in the mix.

    A couple more to post.

    2 Tuff Slow Down.

    Loving this thread.

This could well be a bit too boogie for it, but it's by Peter Hunningale who usually put out UK Reggae tracks.

also a fan of this mix of that After 7 track

I swear one of those old soul tunes on that WB V SIIS thing is the exact blueprint for 'Cure and the cause' by Fish Go Deep. Anyone know what it is? I took it back about three times the other day when I first heard it.

Edit: Comes about 18 mins into this http://testpressing.org/2009/02/soun...ears-eve-1987/

    listen to the bassline

I had Blue lines on the other day for the first time in ages, surprisingly undated apart from the rapping. But maybe this slightly earlier period bang diddleys on about captures the sound best

I know next to nothing about broken beat, but I guess if this was primarily a West london thing (and Bristol obv) the roots are plain to see here. Someone posted a broken beat rave from Co-op plastic people on dissensus once that had a similar vibe to that WB/SoulIISoul thing.
