    By the way, my Dad had the exact same reaction to Luke at the Pharaoh gig: they both said it was the greatest drummer they had ever seen.

    Who is he?

    And once, when we were both drunk and listening to a Miles Davis record, my father did convince me that Elvin Jones' cymbal work was more intricate and complex than any jungle break mash up I'd ever heard.

    its funny. i havent been able to answer that question. i came home and tried to work it out and couldn't. your dad is a good listener.
