And once, when we were both drunk and listening to a Miles Davis record, my father did convince me that Elvin Jones' cymbal work was more intricate and complex than any jungle break mash up I'd ever heard.

its funny. i havent been able to answer that question. i came home and tried to work it out and couldn't. your dad is a good listener.

in terms of audio quality these are the best live Miles sets from 1973 that i've heard. i don't know why i've been gravitating specifically towards '73 recently as opposed to the general '73-75 period, i'm sure it's all in the same ballpark.
