Reminded me that Im going to have to get some global communication into my mix.

That is, if I can find some that isn't monstrously chill-out-cheesy.

Thisi is how all DJs, including those playing psy-trance at squat raves, should dress.

DJ Stingray 2003

The opposite end to the spectrum to Larry Levan. Pretty much wall-to-wall intense electro.

I like how the compression on this recording distorts the sub-bass, too.

This is very intense for a sit and listen FYI

Back to the Warp/etc. discussion - I did really admire the mixing on the Warp Blech II CD. The style, coupled with my mistaken understanding at the time that it was built on a computer, was probably the biggest influence on my first Ableton mixes.

There's not a lot of it online but here are two clips...

Anyone get any idea what I should type into Youtube to find radio mixes of classic New York house? (Nervous, Strictly Rhythm style stuff)

I want a cosmic mix that is actually scary at points, that feeling that you've gone too far out, lonely, cold, left the world behind
