And cosmic deep space mixes, really far out past the belt of orion mixes. Perhaps you've made one matt?

alas i don't have one ready-rolled.

a mixmaster morris nineties-style mix would be made of: the tangerine dream/popol vuh end of krautrock (check), some meditational jazz (check), some beatless detroit techno (check) and a (too) large a dose of ninja tune neo-techno-jazz (check)

Also, some nascent electronica/IDM

Oddly enough, Ive just been ripping some old MM tapes from when he played on my radio show back in the 90s.

Mark Ruff Ryder pirate radio mix 2000. Don't think I've ever heard a 2step mix quite like this; it avoids the RnB end of things, the rap/dancehall end of things and the proto-dubstep end of things. I imagine it's the sought of mix you'd get if the 'intelligent' jungle DJ's started playing 2step.

Yeah, of course, I do it everyday, but it takes ages. If I wanted to get all of Matt's mixes, it would literally take me all day.

In 2015, a mix site that doesn't allow downloads is a broken site, no matter how good it looks. Its one of the few good things about soundcloud.

EDIT - Not that Im not happy to have these mixes available of course... Thanks Matt.

On the ecstasy-amphetamines spectrum of 1992 hardcore this is more ecstasy; slower, mellower, euphoric rather then frantic. The slower tempos bring out the funkiness of the breaks which, when played faster, become more driving than groovy. Also a better recording than most of the 1992 sets available on youtube.

heh heh. well i'm no longer too bothered if i cant download - being swamped with physical media.

i think with mixcloud as a user it's a pact worth embracing. yes no downloads BUT equally no problems with copyright.

it must be how they've argued their status with the PRS. if an identified track is played - then if the copyright owner is registered they get a percentage of advertising revenue. a bit like spotify free.

i hope to god they can keep that argument convincing - i dont see why not - but i suspect they will eventually get shut down.
