I just had to do Music History at college and nothing's more stressful than trying to comprehend the mental associations you're supposed to naturally make to say, certain changes, escalations, crescendos, etc. if you don't normally, ESPECIALLY for medieval non-secular music. Trying to feel your way through those Kyries, let me tell you.
