btw that Ai No Corrida version made me think of Chaz Jankel

high on my list of top early 80s wot do u call it proto-electro club jams. obv his work w/Ian Dury is tops too.

tbh I have completely come around to feeling the post-disco, pre-house interstitial early 80s was the greatest era of dance music. thus far, anyway.

if you're talking divas tho I'm definitely taking Gwen, and my style is more people like her, Jocelyn Brown, etc but ofc I respect Whitney's talent

speaking of Jocelyn Brown, this should be right up your mid-80s electric soul alley

smooth but still pretty funky, or vice versa, kinda yacht boogie. I'm a big fan anyway.
