Years and years ago (and before 9/11) I wrote a long, deep, analytical, lyrical essay about that album, which acknowledged it's weird brilliance while also defining it as a homoeroticic theocratic fascist fantasy. It was part of a triptych that also took in Killah Priest's Heavy Mental and Wu Tang Forever.

I'm kind of sad because when my desktop PC died suddenly in 2005 I lost all those old essays. I'd love to read them now, although they were probably awful! :crylarf:

I think I remember accusing KP of being a closet Roman Catholic, and claiming 'Black Shampoo' was one of Wu Tang's aesthetic peaks...
