Yeah waiting with half-interest for a NYC show b/c I wonder if more of the original pre-Only line-up shows up alongside Glenn, but I doubt it. His voice is pretty toast these days, but I forgot that his older songs didn't have much singing of high quality beyond some of the earliest material, so it doesn't affect it too badly. Think its a little 'showbizy' for a punk band but they're getting paid boatloads for these shows probably so why not go nuts with money.

I was saying elsewhere on the internet, Glenn Danzig has been an influential rock musician and written high quality tunes (from a US perspective) for close to 15 or 16 years consistently. That's significantly rare, and its not just punk/metal campy stuff.

danzig songs recorded by others made me think of "life fades away" by roy orbison, which was on the "less than zero" soundtrack, which made me think of this choon:


hiphop sure sounded different 27 years ago.

i remember taking the cd round my mates house when it just came out. put it on. all high as fuck. this comes on.

ive not heard that album in a very long time but yeah, i have a soft spot for mafioso fantasist nas. i need to see what the firm album sounds like these days.
