yeah thats pretty a much a dancehall beat isn't it? if you sped it up a couple of notches you could mix that with uk funky pretty sweetly too i reckon.
on a similar note, and more in the opposite direction of this kind of discussion, why has no one ever mentioned egyptian riddim in relation to dubstep. it sounds like something from horsepower.
