- D'Marc Cantu (live)
https://soundcloud.com/dmarccantu

D’Marc Cantu is an American producer who has built up an enviable discography of work over the last 15 years plus. As well as working under his own name, he has secured underground hits as 2 AM/FM in collaboration with Tadd Mullinix, and helped define a sound that became known as JakBeat. Using a selection of hardware tools and analogue machines, his rugged sound draws on house, techno, acid, electro and hip hop and features crafty studio skills, knowing sampling and lovable raw aesthetics. To date it has found D’Marc release on influential labels like Nation, Creme Organization, Altered Moods and Spectral Sound as well as M>O>S Recordings, New York Haunted and Run Out Run. Always conjuring up new feelings and ideas with each release, he is an artist that never stops evolving and is always looking to the future. Full length albums like Fallen and A New World both prove he has an expensive sound, but one that is coherent and considered and works as well on the dance floor as it does during more personal moments of introspection.

Alongside his fascinating original material, he has remixed everyone from Azimuth to Aroy Dee to Richard Fearless and has put out compilations for Dope Jams. Highlights in his back catalogue include 2009's Another Number on Crème and 2011's Set Free, hailed as a modern classic, on MOS, whilst the future holds more of the same on labels like Nation, Shaddock and Sequencias. As such, this vital voice in the electronic underground remains as loud and clear as ever.

- Galaxian (live)
https://soundcloud.com/galaxian

Razor sharp percussion writhes with syncopated broken conversations. Cinematic ambient vistas twist into pacey waste ground electronics. Cavernous sonic ambiences morph into claustrophobic poly-rhythms. A sound as equally varied as it is evocative, Galaxian comfortably occupies a space outside of the easily definable genres of today. His sound is often hard to classify and pigeonhole but never less than absorbing. He’s never an artist to become stagnant or take the obvious route.

Releases on labels including Last Known Trajectory and more recently with DJ Stingray on Shipwrec are both distinctive and remarkably vital and have further cemented his reputation for pushing boundaries in unexpected and exciting new directions. A provocative visual style, political and philosophical attitude further submerge the listener in Galaxian’s visions and ideas. Kitted out in trademark helmet and mask, as if to foresee a collapse of the current social fabric, his live shows are dripping with raw energy and atmosphere generating an immersive experience which commands attention.

2017 promises a host of 12" releases on the impressive Shipwrec, Helena Hauff’s Return to Disorder imprint, Greece’s Lower Parts, new label Foul Up and Repitch from Berlin. Harnessing his appetite for an uncompromising and authentic approach Galaxian proceeds to challenge, defy and redefine the sonic parameters.

- Shinra
https://soundcloud.com/shinra

Inspired by the sounds of classic Detroit electro and UK acid, London-based Shinra has been making music for a few years, with a couple of releases on WIDE Records back in 2008 and 2010. After a long quiet period, he re-emerged in 2015 with an appearance on Balkan Vinyl's Mutant City Acid 2 compilation (alongside his heroes Hardfloor), followed up with a well received EP on Null+Void which gained strong support from a wide range of DJs, with the track "Fallen" selected for a Boiler Room debut. 2016 has seen an appearance on Paris's InFiné, and forthcoming tracks and remixes on Feel My Bicep and Madrid's Analogical Force.
