    electro was also a very important starting point for many people in so far that it was the first electronic (dance) music lots of peeps were enjoying. I remember reading / listening to many interviews with prime movers of the 1990s electronic music revolution who were referring to electro as an early influence/reference point.

    Electro/Hip-Hop. 1986. I love all of these electro songs for robot wars and space voyages and whatnot. Also I love how close hip-hop and electro were in the old days, practically indistinguishable.

    this part of the convo is long passed but I just wanted to throw in there that Funkadelic are really important in their influence over early electro. Funkadelic + Kraftwerk = electro pretty much imo.
