Music you've cried to

Corpsey

bandz ahoy
I've cried when on a huge comedown to U Don't Have to Call by Usher. I cried because it was so beautiful and life is so short.

I'm very lucky to not have known many ppl who have died, particularly my parents - once they do I am sure there will be umpteen new songs that will reduce me to blubbering

This was played at friend's funeral and still gets me:

Can't remember if I cried at that funeral tbh.

Trying to think of rap I've cried to and striking a blank mostly - been massively shook by Meeok Mil's "We Ball" and Lil Durk's cut of "Perky's Calling" in recent years - with the latter, its the roll call of dead homies that gets me.

I've "joked" with people that if I die, I want this song played at my funeral b/c it stirs that sort of feeling in me.

Others I guess:

this has associations with around the time someone close to me died almost 10 years ago, still gets me a little choked up...

I cry at music all the time. Like all the time. Today was the new Poppy single. And Blame in on the Boogie in the DIY shop almost did me as well. Music destroys me.

Let's Talk About Ceps
Some eight years ago or so when I was a civil servant working on the Isle of Dogs I walked up to Canada Square on my lunch break one day in the winter or early spring after it had snowed. I was by myself and was listening to this:

on my music player. I found myself looking up at these vast monolithic buildings on all sides of me, which were rendered almost supernaturally clean and gleaming by the bright sunlight and coating of snow, and I just thought, well this is it. This is where we've got to, as a society, as a species. We had it good for a while, some of us anyway, and we're now at the end of that period. And there was a poignancy and purity in the music that matched that of the gleaming, aseptic, futuristic space I was in, and before I knew it my eyes were just absolutely streaming.

Just listening to the song again now pretty much set me off.

This ones got me VERY close Teas point about "some of us lived through a good period as a species and now we have reached the end of that hits hard"
