    the problem with this thread is that everyone's working off different definitions, so we're all just bickering to ourselves about different things.

    Ya, but it's about forging a collective understanding of how to define what the goals could and perhaps should be.

    I balk at the notion of Timbaland belonging to things such as Jungle; maybe it's b/c as one of the few USian users I have to Evel Knievel about in the USA jumpsuit for my own amusement but also I think it's a gross overriding of his own moments of 'nowness' from when he was so innovatory.

    timbaland pioneered a distinct rhythmic idiom comparable in scope to swing or funk, the effects of which we're still experiencing today and will do so for decades to come.
