I have mentioned them a number of times on the What are You Reading thread.

I'd also check out the Republic of Consciousness prize for small presses - their longlist has loads of interesting stuff and also the International Man Booker longlist.

I'm so uncool that the only recent (to be liberal with the term) books I've read and really rated include "The Line of Beauty", "Wolf Hall", and "Regeneration".

Probably should but I have a hard enough time getting through 1% of the classics.
