Obviously all sound is vibration/physical, but I mean stuff which sounds physical beyond being produced by physical instruments or vocals or whatever. I'm talking stuff like Bernard Parmegiani where it almost sounds like a marble rolling around the inside of your skull, like a physical object moving around in a physical space.
There's an Autechre tune on L-Event which features a sound like a drainpipe being smacked, this strange, hollow, chunky sound which sounds much more 'real' and present than every other sound in the track. You can hear something similar in the Russian hardbass and 'donk' stuff, the signature sound has this depth and presence to it beyond your standard reverb. I think it's down to the combination of a very prominent percussive sound projected into a space in a certain way, you can't just stick reverb on a kick or whatever and get it, there's something very particular about it to my ears.
