    That's too much homework, sorry Corpse. I'm writing another essay about Fascism.

    (pope)
    'Tis with our judgments as our watches, none
    Go just alike, yet each believes his own.

    I'd like for you to choose a pretty pair;
    A poem that shows the ode at its most fair,
    Another at its worst. So concentrate;
    Forget your essay - fascism can wait!

    I substituted

    'And fuck your'

    with

    'Forget your'

    because 'get' chimes well with 'ess-ay'

    but I think I lost something emphatic there

    I like doing these pseudoparodypoems from time to time because it gives me the tiniest insight into what's going on with poetry proper

    It's forgiveable cos I just realised I didn't include me on my list. Error and oversight.

    "Maybe
    I don't really wanna know
    How your garden grows
    Cos I
    Just wanna fly"

    I think all happiness depends on having the energy to assume the mask of some other self, that all joyous or creative life is a rebirth as something not oneself, something created in a moment and perpetually renewed in playing a game like that of a child where one loses the infinite pain of self-realization, a grotesque or solemn painted face put on that one may hide from the terrors of judgement, an imaginative Saturnalia that makes one forget reality. Perhaps all the sins and energies of the world are but the world's flight from an infinite blinding beam.

    Quite like the idea of claiming Noel Gallagher as an inadvertent genius poet, mainly cos it would annoy the Quietus types

    If thought is life
    And strength and breath,
    And the want
    Of thought is death,

    Then am I
    A happy fly,
    If I live,
    Or if I deyyyyyyyieeeeeeeeee
