    Default UVB-76

Has someone else already mentioned this Bristol based crew?

They had a write up in the Wire which was where i first caught sight I think... uvb-76 wire.jpg

Been really enjoying the moody take on jungle. It's probably a bit nostalgic at times, but still very enjoyable for me.

They've also got a subsidiary label, stone tapes, referencing the Nigel Kneale TV show.

Slightly confused that one of them has renamed himself Karim Maas, presumably to sound more German? Rest of the names are suitably dark: Vega, Pessimist, Overlook etc.

They are playing MCR in November.

I think I mentioned them in another thread, bu can't remember which. Some of it's good, but it can be a bit dreary and humourless. This one's good.

    And this one.

yeah i know what you mean. the odd mix feels a bit ploddy, but generally they seem to be doing a good job out of so little.

It feels like they've drawn a line between Photek and Regis.
