    Kettle !!!!!!!1111!1

CHEEEsus that riddim is good. Bok Bok and I considered forcing them to make a comeback last year, but decided our energies may be better spent elsewhere

Jon E Cash is now just a host at funky house nights, it's a tragedy.

some dude whose name escapes me off dsf and rwd claims to know them all really well and says sublow is an entire movement, it is separate from grime, and it's still extant, just a very closed scene.. i dunno tho...

it is not completely rubbish though - this along with early grimey 8bar (as played by benga that time) is fantastic, afaic. simple stuff, but so effective.

I've got a flyer somewhere that came with a Black Ops record that sets it all out. Hopefully I can find it.

    yeah i've got that too.
from the haywire ep i like that jon e cash - westside ep too - the instrumental more than the vocal maybe for the old fashioned 70s gangsta film samples the weird loloping drum sample

yeah brilliant. black ops + eski + slimzos-related + menta/early-skream/benga = my idea of a good time. minimalism to maximum effect.

i had 'kettle' (ft god's gift) as my ring tone for most of last year actually (having finally worked out how to transfer mp3s to my phone, five years after everyone else ) - it might be for that reason, rather than anything objective, but i basically view kettle's bass line as the quintessential grime sound. there may be (marginally) better riddims out there, but the way that bass line warps gets me every time.

I think the guy from RWD you are talking about is natzta, he claims he is in Nasty Crew & that he works with all the Black Op's guys, not really sure how true it is though.

He probably posted this Black Op's mix up, its 35 mins long, I remember getting it off RWD years ago.

we duck the 5-0 vocal is sick

i like some black ops vocals, swolla was quite fun
hoods up is just so hummable - i kind of put black ops on a par with early macabre unit - though their sound is so much more 3 dimensional these days

    heavy, so heavy.
I love how jon e cash, and the rest of black ops can put out what seems like hundreds tracks and they're all bangin'
