Here's ten I like (in no particular order):
    Foreign Dispatches
    Kevin Drum
    Winds of Change
    The Head Heeb
    Fistful of Euros
    Harry's Place
    Matthew Yglesias
    Randy McDonald
    The Marmot's Hole
    Marc Cooper

On the, uh, self-promotion side, I write one of my own, and I also contribute to the historical group blog Dictionary of Received Ideas.

    Agreed on Marc Cooper.

But not Juan Cole, people. Here's a guy with knowledge corrupted by slant and conspiracy. I also have it on good authority that his book on Shi'ites is a bunch or rubbish. How unfortunate.

Here's an invaluable news resource, which I haven't checked for too long, BUT:

    www.agonist.org

uh, didn't anyone mention this already? I can't be bothered to read the whole thread.

Blast! Is there nothing we can agree on, Oliver?!? How about ice cream, surely we can agree that ice cream is good...

I love ice cream! We agree! Also, seeing as it's a music thread, I love 'Ice Cream' with Method Man and Raekwan too!

By the way, Swansea has the best ice cream in the world. 'Joe's Cascerini': it's that beautiful Italo-Swansea connecrion, again.

Dave, yo! I like wine, too! Do you like wine?

Politics is politics, but wine and ice cream is wine and ice cream. And that's how people relate, right?

    Oliver: agreed.
Next time I start getting too fired up talking politics, I'll have to have a wine and ice cream break and chill out

Just noticed Dubquixote's blog over at http://dubquixote.blogspot.com/. Nice grime / dubstep / hip hop / dancehall discussions.

I am working on it, which is why uncarved.org is completely offline.

tho, to be honest I may have just screwed the whole thing up in an unfathomable nameserver/IP mashup soundclash failure.

But if it works it will be faster and hopefullly there will be less of the old xanax texas holdem poker action in the comments boxes.

And maybe the odd mp3, tho it won't be "an mp3 blog" alright?
