    Default End of the BFI

Seems set to be subsumed by the Film Council following the usual neo-lib forumla. Olympics partly to blame.

I blame the catastrophic redesign of the National Film Theatre's bar.

However, it is really awful news.

shit. that is a whole lot of worse

i worked in the NFT bar for a bit. it was appalling, wasn't it? for a start it had really uncomfortable seats and far too many tables squashed together. and something about that room meant that it was always really noisy even when it was half empty. also drinks were ridiculously expensive, and the food was a horrible school-style canteen serving over-priced shite.
