i'm playing a house and funky set at sin city at herbal then hopefully heading down the road for this. i'm hoping to antagonise some dubstep purists.

Simbad is a London-based broken beat-ish / other producer, Karizma is a pretty legendary and innovative house producer from Baltimore, formerly of the Basement Boys. he's often quoted as a key influence on the UK sound. i only recently i came across him also, his back catalogue is quite astonishing

I don't know about anyone else, but I've found that through funky I've just ended up listening to- and buying a lot of- straight house. The amount of Dennis Ferrer mixes I've downloaded recently and the amount of time I'm spending poring over 12"s again, it's mad.

That new Karizma "Kaytonik" EP is in Uptown by the way. Some new Funky NB as well.
