i'm doing a module on thatcher for university. was wondering if any kind souls could point me in the direction of some good documentaries on her, or better still links to ones that have been posted up online.

blog posts/essays/books etc too would be great!

I'm reaching way back in time here, but around 85 there was a great 3-part BBC documentary series called Writing On The Wall, which laid out the background to the 80s right-wing resurgence. Is it online? Feck nose.

The former Guardian journo Hugo Young (very centrist by their standards) wrote one of the most notable books not to come from the 'she's a devil/saint' pov.

(haven't read it myself, but would be surprised if it's not good)
