1) it features a demented and/or mild retardedly character says something along the lines of "But, you always have all the fun" or "Paw promised her to me"...

2) a scene in a stripclub or western themed "cowboy" bar

3) at least one character is portrayed by an ex-professional wrestler or competitive bodybuilder

Scene featuring the POV of somebody having a bad trip, complete with out-of-tune fairground music and the distorted faces of people pointing down and laughing at them while they roll around on the floor in distress.

Scene featuring homeless, drunk old man sitting in the street holding a bottle of booze. Sees something unlikely happen, rubs his eyes, looks wide-eyed at the bottle, chucks it away, shakes his head.

Haha, YES!

There's clear sexual tension between a man and a woman. He grabs her and kisses her on the mouth; she pushes him away and slaps him; then after a moment's pause she grabs him and starts kissing him even harder.

Was watching a Hitchcock interview last night and he talked about the cliche in films where there's a poisoned glass and the intended victim ALMOST sips from it but remembers that he has to say or do something just before his lips touch the glass.

On the subject of awful films, 'house of wax' was on last night - it starred Elisha Cuthbert and Paris Hilton. It featured a pair of deformed/idiotic hillbillies who lived in a deserted town and weren't adverse to turning people into wax dummies... for no particular reason. I knew it was going to be a masterpiece before I even switched the channel.

It features a character who has a line like "Don't you see? The project wasn't cancelled because it failed, but because it was successful...too successful..." or something similarly ominous.

In other words, film noir. Where are the cheap overcoats?

Unconvincing punks in unconvincing nightclubs is also a definite fave.

Yes! Also nightclubs playing generically 'bad-ass' techno at a volume that has everyone in the place dancing (generically) like mad, yet is also quiet enough for two characters to have a perfectly normal conversation without shouting and for the audience to be able to hear every word.

Scene where someone gets ravaged by a guard dog after nervously trying to calm it down by saying "Good boy, nice boy..." while it stands there growling at him.

The male hero has a moustache. Also, his own theme tune. Bonus points if he sometimes whistles his own theme tune.

Someone grabbing someone else by the collar at some point, and saying: "Don't you see!? Don't you understand WHAT WE'VE DONE!?"

Edit: Hmm. Mr. Tea already had that one.

In keeping with this one, I know nobody is going to believe that I'm saying this without a trace of irony, but two of the most enjoyable, watchable movies of all time are

1) Showgirls

and

2) Coyote Ugly
