not wav but mp3 also

i've been using audacity but its driving me up the bloody wall now so i need to get something better.

all help appreciated :)

there's not really much to choose from, unfortunately. never understood why. i think Bias Peak LE is probably your best bet.

Yeah, Peak is the one. Wiretap has a basic editor in it. People have told me Amadeus was 'soundforge for the mac', but its nowhere near as good.

I find its best to just dual boot into windows and use SF. Its by far the best wave editor on any platform.

I use Amadeus Pro for simple recording / editing:

If you have Logic Studio you also get Waveburner and Soundtrack Pro too, of course.

I usually end up using a combination of Amadeus Pro, Soundtrack Pro and Waveburner, which is far from ideal but not really a problem either.
