I love that the Sec. State for Transport is called Lord Adonis. Imagine being called Lord Adonis. Stone cold quim magnet, I bet.

it is a credit to this board that no one has claimed to have been like, actually, at school with this kid called wayne king, right?

but i really was at school with van king! Honest! His dad was called van king too.

Though as somebody commented 'he's more Andrew than Adonis', looks like a bit of a super egghead.

Talking of ironically-named eggheads, I was taught relativistic quantum mechanics as an UG by a Professor Love. He was a diminutive Scot with white hair and a very high voice - not, as you might imagine, a Barry White look/sound-a-like.

Dear Professor Smith,
Are you the famous Mark E Smith from the pop band the FALL?
I was wondering why you changed careers and if you had any anecdote from your pop star days.
& If so, I'd like to say how much I have enjoyed your work, if not, i'd like to ask how you feel about the band?
Thanks a lot,
best wishes

Let's not forget Thomas Wanker, who did the music for, er, Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Don't ask me how I know that...
