Ridiculous Postage & Packing

i recently had the wonderfully unexpected experience of buying a used cd on amazon and discovering the seller lived in my town! she was kind enough to send me an email and ask if i wanted to pick the cd up at her office down the street the next day. when i got it, she gave me a cash refund of the postage amount i had already been charged online.

don't suspect i'll ever be that lucky again...

crazy buying stuff on discogs now, people in Europe charging $15-25 for shipping on one record or cd to the US.
