Nice selection, Scott! I especially like the girl in the b/w photo and the black chick with the cigar. :)

Can't believe no-one's mentioned Eva Green yet...

I wonder if I'd be attracted to any of this lot if the photos were in black and white?

heh-heh. my old shrink would have a field day with my list, i bet.

"some of them are practically little girls, man!!"

etc ;)

Eva Green is beautiful Tea, too right.

dunno quite why but in that Bond Daniel Craig she was in, i found the arc of their relationship incredibly, incredibly affecting. (which has to be a first for a Bond film. i mean, genuinely, actually moving.) this scene was a bit OTP.

BTW, Tea, Nadine Labaki (b/w photo i posted) was in the film 'Caramel', she directed

Caramel revolves around the intersecting lives of five Lebanese women. Layale (Nadine Labaki) works in a beauty salon in Beirut along with two other women, Nisrine (Yasmine Al Masri) and Rima (Joanna Moukarzel). Each one has a problem: Layale is stuck in a dead-end relationship with a married man; Nisrine is no longer a virgin but is set to be married and in her conservative family pre-marital sex is not accepted; Rima is attracted to women; Jamale (Gisèle Aouad), a regular customer and wannabe actress, is worried about getting old; Rose (Sihame Haddad), a tailor with a shop next to the salon, is an old woman who had devoted her life to taking care of her mentally unbalanced older sister Lili (Aziza Semaan), but has found her first love. The film doesn't refer to any of the political problems or recent warfare that has troubled Lebanon.

I just saw Innocence and it's like if Nabokov remade Suspiria...pretty good, if you can sit through (softcore) pedophilic imagery.

Who the fuck are all these people?

Anyway I see better looking women every day of the week walking down the street.

What's great is how everyone has such different criteria for attractiveness. Vive le differences.

yet we all live in the same world saturated by images which communicate a specific standard of beauty. there is more conformity than you think...

Really? How much conformity do you think I think there is? How do you know?

But so what? I think that's good, suckers can keep their conformity, if that means they are conforming to someone else's idea of what is beautiful. Friends will sometimes refer to someone they think is attractive and I'll think wow, I don't agree at all, but I like this other person over here who nobody seems to have noticed. I think that's great! Also I find that notions of 'beauty' and a certain aesthetic quality don't always overlap with attractiveness / hotness, sometimes they are mutually exclusive.

I find the presence of a real person in 4D smellovision to be much more appealing than any image. Just can't really get a sense of someone from a photo. Also I don't think there's anyone particularly great looking on this thread. OK a few. ;) But I like realness really.

hmm sure everyone says that sort of thing and it's true, but then i think you saw someone like lara stone in real life it would probably fuck with your head.
