Sure, but listen to what he does with them. One of the deepest jungle tunes of all time.

Something unfortunately faux-naif about it to my ears now - but I fear I've been corrupted by influences outside of my ears.

It's weird how you can't just listen with your ears, at least if you're someone like me. Got to kick the analysis into gear. Weird. Bound up with self esteem.

As i said way back at the beginning of this thread, 'ambient' jungle was a very specific trend related to only a few of labels and artists. Most of this stuff, or indeed 'intelligent' jungle is just deep jungle or almost everything that was made between 94/95 that wasn't ragga. Sample driven, melodic, diverse and promiscuous in its influences, and indeed, the best dance music ever.

It was my favourite jungle tune in the early days. Its like a platonic ideal of a roller.

Did a mix of some of my favourite deep jungle tunes a while back, stretches all the way from '93 to '97. Includes artcore classics like 'we enter'. I could pop it back up here if anyone could be arsed.

pass the sick bucket
this stuff funnily enough also one side of the techno connection to the nuum, and there was a darker counterpart.

Again more fuel for my idea that the hardcore continuum is *literally* hardcore, if you're not into hardcore, you can't talk about the nuum.

pass the sick bucket
people always wanna make hardcore continuum a race ting exclusively but actually some of the first people to abandon ragga were black geezers.
