Where do NY resolutions come from anyway? My guess is the temperance movement or something square like that.

They're not very helpful to those who think Capitalism is behind everything. Not only do most of the resolutions involve a cessation of consumption, as you point out, but the Capitalists have put no effort into proposing alternative resolutions like 'this year I must eat a Big Mac every day to feel healthy and strong'.

my second hit of acid was the night after a purple blotter that did fuck all apart from almost getting us arrested and a potential UK football hero ended up obsessed with Caravan's cunning stunts album

the purple blotter was a letdown but the next night we scored some CIA superman tabs and the rest is alternative history
