Has anyone bothered to see this yet?

Caught it today, mainly coz Winterbottom normally does interesting stuff. It's certainly not porn, but it lacks an awful lot, making it barely a feature film tbh. Oh yeah and the live bands don't come off that well in it.

iy just seems like the sort of thing that would have happened in the 90's if the real rock revolution was as up its own arse as it is now.
rankin would have shot it etc, and there would have been a big shit book of stills

Factory Girl
Yeah I pretty much agree with what's already been said, it was a very weak film. The little acting that there was came across quite ropey but it was the gig scenes that were particularly disappointing. It seemed that he was trying to capture the feeling of being in the crowd, but it just looked like a badly shot home video. I was expecting gig equivalent of the sublime clubbing scenes in Morven Callar.

I never saw the finished version of Code 46, but I saw an early version of it. Again, that seemed like quite a poor film.

In This World looks interesting though, and might be worth catching.
