drifters - 60 years & still going

never really realised what's he deal with the drifters - more like a brand than a band, appropriately named for masses of temporary members who kinda drifted on thru, most recent singer is apparently a herne hill lad,

which other groups have got this sort of franchise arrangement or longevity?

The Skatalites come to mind, I don't think any of them are original members now, coming up to 50 years
