Vancouver-based record label and management company Nettwerk Music Group has ruffled industry feathers on both sides of the border by standing behind one of the thousands of downloaders facing lawsuits from the Recording Industry Association of America.

The cynic in me is thinking the whatever it costs them to fight against the RIAA will buy them better media coverage than buying ads...

how do they catch people downloading music, do they pay people to go on soulseek or whatever and browse people's folders until they find an offending file?

Don t quote me on this but i think something like soulseek is probably still under the RIAA's radar , i betcha they re still looking at a napster backlogs or some of the bigger Torrent Trackers that were taken down a while back.
