Haven't heard the Laurent Garnier, I must admit. I was a little unsure about adding it to the list, since the reaction from the dance mags was lukewarm at best.

I can recommend the M83, though.

any feedback on the jeff mills? what's he up to these days?

he does hi concept stuff but his music is reallly lush still, not quite as banging as he was, he's got more into atmosphere and groovy late night stuff i think.

that bonnie prince billy is pretty good but there are moments he seems a bit like ween doing a piss take

The Jeff Mills album has been out since November apparently. *curses himself* I love Mills, how could I let it slip by like that...

He is still pumping out the good stuff...seems to be focused on that "Metropolis" soundtracky stuff but it's fine by me. There was this killer bassline track he put on "The Exhibitionist" (track 43 I think), it was listed as Axis unreleased. I hope it's on AX-041.

Also, go to http://www.discogs.com/release/298590 Read the notes. Sums up my current state perfectly. What the hell happenned to the future we were promised? It's all bunk, that's what...we are heading toward a return to a more human state. Ok, this is probably better of on the Thought forum but Mills is on to something here. Is it also a dissapointment with the state of the dance scene as discussed by Reynolds et al on their blogs recently? Like, the myth of the music pushing into the future through technology finally wearing off.

And finally, while I am on the topic of Mills, look at his picture on Discogs. WTF??? He looks like ET.
